At Beautiful Beginnings, we use certain terms to describe our services.
To ensure complete clarity, we’ve outlined exactly what these mean within the context of our non-diagnostic scans here at Beautiful Beginnings.
When you see the term “Reassurance” anywhere on but not limited to our website, it means:
A scan where we visually confirm the presence of your baby’s heartbeat.
This does not include any assessment of:
- your baby’s anatomy
- growth or development
- genetic conditions
- overall health or wellbeing of the baby or mother
Our Happy Mummy reassurance scans are non-diagnostic and are designed to provide a moment of connection and comfort only.
They are not a substitute for medical ultrasounds or professional healthcare advice. If you are experiencing any adverse pregnancy symptoms, please speak to your healthcare provider.
If you have a referral for a viability scan, we would be happy to organise this with our of our sonographers.
Non-diagnostic scans are performed by our highly experienced ultrasound technicians, not qualified medical sonographers, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
This means:
- Ultrasound technicians do not provide medical reports
- Ultrasound technicians do not assess or diagnose conditions
- Ultrasound technicians do not replace your doctor, midwife, or hospital care
Gender determination refers to identifying your baby’s gender based on ultrasound imaging at the time of your scan. While we take great care, this is not a medical diagnosis and is dependent on baby’s position and visibility.
