Nuchal Translucency (NT) Screening (First Trimester Screening)

Risk factors are calculated by combining ultrasound findings with a specific blood test.

First trimester screening blood tests ideally need to have been completed prior to booking this scan, however, they can be performed beforehand.

We require payment on the day of the appointment. For diagnostic scans, your out of pocket fee will vary depending on the level of contribution from Medicare. Your rebate is processed on the day of the appointment. We are here to answer any questions about what Medicare does and doesn’t cover.

What to bring to your appointment:

A valid referral from your GP. It’s important to know that we accept all referrals for all diagnostic pregnancy scans.
A current Medicare card.
Any previous blood test results, ultrasound or pregnancy imaging reports, if you have them.
Unlike social ultrasounds, we do require a full bladder for optimal diagnostic imaging, particularly for early pregnancy and dating scans.
